Armed with nothing but Bass to perch baits, Chelsea had a quarter ounce bass headed jig with a white and red tailed plastic grub. Flipping it out like any young semi-pro youngster would do, she bounced that jig in a slow to quiver retrieve. First cast to the deck, Chelsea landed a sixteen-inch Venice Flounder. Apparently, the kids know how to fish. To that, I changed over to a half ounce “Dude”, a white bristled jig with wraps in red, and started bouncing the bottom. It is the act of doing so everyday we fish out on the boards of the Venice City Pier located at "Sharky's on the Pier"; a casual dining establishment on the Venice beach at Brohard Park.

I am an entrepreneurial outdoors hands on writer with ecology to stewardship on my mind. We have but one planet, we have almost pissed it away, we need to change our habits before we, and ourselves change for the worst. “Respecting the environment is everybody's game, if you plan on playing in the future!" I speak my mind openly and without use of pseudonyms. My address and phone number are public knowledge. As well, my computer sites are open to the public and one does not get much more transparent than this. Open book policy and honesty are given away free, right here; all you need to do is read, learn and pass it on, another form of mentoring, teaching and that is why I have my websites. I have been angling since age seven. Commercial Captain, Trawler mate, Charter and pleasure; I have fifty years of fishing experience. Some people play golf and socialize where ever; I fish and write about it.
